Father Time

Our little countdown clock is telling me that there’s about 11 days left in the school year.  WOW.  We definitely haven’t slowed down the learning train in room 135.  Infact, we’re just starting our official “time travel” :)  We started the week with Father Time…he’s got all the time in the world :)  We brainstormed a lot of different words that have to do with time.  The red words are ways we measure time…days, hours, minutes, etc.  The blue words are different places we can find time displayed…can you believe cell phone was the first word my class suggested?!?!  HA!!  I know that’s the ONLY way I check the time!!  The green words are how time sounds to us :)

I wish I had more to share, but I’ve been terrible with the picture taking!  My mind is going in a MILLION different directions right now and taking pictures is just not at the top of my priority list!  The option period on our current house is finally up {praise Jesus!} so we had all that going on last weekend AND after about 5 different counter offers on the house we love down south, we FINALLY agreed on a number today and we’re moving forward!!!  Now to figure out when I’m going to pack up the house AND my classroom.  I’m about to just open up my classroom doors and have a little free for all!  Let the countdown continue!!

  2. I love your ideas and am panicking that you'll forget about us if you're not in first next year. That being said I am praying for your family as you make the exciting transition. Keep us posted!!

  4. I'm not sure if I have left a comment on your blog before, but I just had to tell you that reading your blog is one of the biggest joys to my day. I love your positivity and beauty. I'm a kindergarten teacher, and seeing everything you do in your classroom and with your family is so motivating. I'm praying that packing goes smooth and you get lots of help!

  6. That is funny about cell phones and so very true. Did you see the recent article about a guy surgically attaching his iPod nano to his wrist and it looks like a watch?!?!?!?! He wanted his music with him always. Now that is a little extreme! Moving is so incredibly hard. I am in the midst of moving my classroom again so I know your pain. If you develop any moving/packing list for classrooms or strategies please let me know!

  7. I can't tell you how much your blog has saved me this year! I agree with all that's been said--you are a true master teacher, and a sweetheart to boot! Thank you for all the inspiration! :0) I pray that you'll stay in first grade if that's what's meant for you and all of us, so you can continue to use all that amazing talent! Big Hugs from Arizona!

  10. Good luck with the house buying! We just bought ours a year ago & it was stressful enough. I can only imagine with a time crunch how much stress that adds to you! Thanks for being such a inspiration! I am definitely adding your time unit to my wishlist!

  14. Love your blogs! You give me so much inspiration as a teacher and a mother. My family and I are also making a big move from Arizona to Colordao. I am in the process of packing up my school stuff ( I never realized how much stuff I have!) Then it's on to packing the house. You have reminded me to keep faith in the Lord and trust that he is guiding us in the right direction. Thank you :)
