Checking In

HAPPY MONDAY TO YOU!  

It's been a while, hasn't it?!  I feel like I say that a lot.  Well, I KNOW I say that a lot.  The last few weeks of the school years ended up being a lot more busy than I intended and my little slice of cyberspace took a backseat until I could catch up with myself.  I sure missed posting.  

Now that things have settled down, I wanted to hop on over and let you know about some fun things I have lined up that I don't want you to miss.  Or maybe you all stopped reading because I never post anymore :)  So for the three of you that are still checking back for updates, HI!!!  :) :) :) 

First up, I'd love to start up Coffee Talk again.  Once a week...every Tuesday...I'll be on Facebook from 10-11 (CST).  Grab a cup of coffee and head on over to my page for some chatting.  Anything goes!  Questions, teacher talk... just a whole lot of gabbing ;)  I hope to see you there!

Alphabet Anchor Charts

If you already own the Alphabet Anchor Charts, be sure to go back in and download them again.  I just added a set of lowercase letter anchor charts to the packet this morning!!

In the weeks to come, we'll be talking all about best practices...from writing to math to reading and everything in between.  I'll be sharing some fun ideas and activities that are easy to implement and we'll talk a bit about effective strategies as well.  I can't wait to share with you everything I have lined up!

I'll also be popping in with lots of different teaching tips...things to help you prep for going back to school and starting the year off on the right foot.  I love the way summer not only gives you a well deserved break, but also gets you excited about starting all over again with a brand new group of babies.  The exictement before starting a new school year is always so palpable!  

Right now, I'm working on some things to get ready for the I Teach 1st Conference in Vegas.  I'll be headed out that way at the beginning of July and I'm SO excited about seeing so many of my friends and meeting lots of new faces, too.  I can't wait!  Rachelle and Natalie just posted all about it on their blog today, so make sure to head on over and read about it!
