  1. Cara,
I recently purchased your The Bus Stops Here Math & Literacy Centers...I noticed that the letter Ff locker is missing even from the revised version. Is there a way I could get this fixed? Or am I missing something!!

  6. Cara, (I'm not sure what happened to my comment, but I will repeat myself just in case it ended up lost in cyberspace.) I got to attend one of your sessions at iTeach First in Vegas this last summer. Awesome! But I think you mentioned that you wanted some BIG google eyes. I promised to send you some as I have some extras but alas your business card with address is missing. I'm pretty sure my brand new kitten has carried it off somewhere and hidden it. You wouldn't believe the things we have found carried away by such a tiny thing! Anyway, if you still want them, please email me an address at mweidemann@carson.k12.nv.us and I will get them shipped off to you as soon as possible. And thanks for all the inspiration!!!

  36. Hello!

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Megan McCabe Noonan and I work with WGBH who is the production company for a program called PEEP and the Big Wide World and also a few other PBS KIDS programs. I work on our Social Media and Outreach to help share our preschool series, PEEP and the Big Wide World.

With NSF funding, Peep recently launched a fully bilingual website (Spanish, English) with STEM resources for Parents, children, and early childhood educators. We'd like to keep spreading the word about these free resources and wonder if there are any communication vehicles (e-news, social media) that PreKinders would be interested in partnering with us on. We always reciprocate and also would like to share your resources on our pages as well!

If you are interested in speaking further, please message me directly and we can set up a good time to for a conversation. megan_noonan@WGBH.org

    Cheers,

We, at DialMyCalls, love your site and were wondering if you offer any kind of advertising options. Possibly sponsored posts or banner ads.
Thousands of teachers are already using our DialMyCalls service. We think DialMyCalls would be the perfect match with your audience. We could even give away our service for free if you wanted to
run some kind of promotion or giveaway.

  44. Hi Cara,
I'm looking for a way to e-mail you to ask specific curriculum-based questions. I'm specifically looking for your recommendations/thoughts about a proper phonics sequence for 1st grade. We are currently using Scott Foresman Reading Street, but I'm not in love with the sequence of how the phonics skills are taught, and feel that there must be a better sequence out there. My e-mail address is meagech@gmail.com and I would love any and all feedback/insight you could provide.
    Thank you so much!

  45. Cara,
I remember reading about how your campus does "half groups" during your reading time. I loved it when I read it, and filed it to the back of my mind. We have a chance to make some changes in scheduling next year, and I immediately thought of your half groups. Do you have anything written about your "half group" model? Research? An article that was published in a journal? Something your school district wrote up? I am just looking for something that I could use to introduce the idea to the staff in my school. I have tried googling and searching, and came up empty handed. Thank you so much!

  48. Hi Cara! I am struggling with the decision about whether to go back to work as a elementary teacher after being home the past two years with my littles (I have a two year old and six month old). I LOVE LOVE teaching and REALLY miss it, but I am having a hard time reconciling being away from my babies while I do a job I love. Though it would help us financially for me to work, I don't need to work and so I feel guilty about making the choice to teach rather than be with my babes all day. I'm really torn as I GREATLY miss teaching! I would love any insight as you having the cutest little guys and still manage to do the job you love!

    My email is laurcarterg@gmail.com
