This past weekend I hosted a little "Coffee Talk" over on my FB page.
I had so much fun chatting with the teachers who stopped by. And I felt like a lot of their questions deserved more than just a little blurb of a response. So I'm going to blog about a few of these things in greater detail over the next few weeks.

Here's a list of things we came up with...
I figured I'd check in with you guys too and see if there's anything you'd like me to add to the list?! Just leave a comment and let me know!
Have a great Monday!
Love this list...I'd love to hear about A Day in the Life and any brilliant teacher hacks to save time :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking! Jen
Great list! I just wanted to add that I love that mug.
ReplyDeleteAwesome list! I would love to hear how you organize assessment data for each standard! Thanks for sharing all of your great ideas! I love reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! It would be fun if some of these were linky parties so we could get tons of other ideas too. Just a thought!
ReplyDeleteRambling About Reading
I can't wait to read your upcoming posts!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a fabulous teacher and I can't wait to hear all you have to say on these topics! Especially guided reading/the workshop model/managing centers, as my literacy block is a big mishmash of all those things :)

I agree with all of the above. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cara! You are my favorite blogger & I wish you would make more clip art!! My question would be regarding your science program - what do you do with your kids? Hands - on? Do you use a textbook? How much time are you able to devote to science per week? Or do you have a separate science teacher in your building? Thanks so much - can't wait to read more of your coffee talk!!

ReplyDeleteLove to Learn
I really enjoyed this post! This is only my second year of teaching and I have a very small room! Both years, my word wall has not been conveniently located, however, I make it a point to add it to my morning routine where we go through and read all of the words on the word wall by letter. Next year, I think I will definitely have to try and find a space to make it more interactive. Thank you for your advice! I talked with you a little bit on your coffee morning chat about your mentor program but afterward, I read a lot of other questions you were answering. I must say, I am very excited to read your upcoming blog posts about topics some people were curious about! Thanks for sharing:)
