Just stopping in for a little bit tonight not to share anything, but to say thank you. In light of turkey day tomorrow, I just wanted to stop for a minute to thank God for the blessings He has set before me.
One of the biggest, most unexpected blessings is this little blog.
Back in 2010, I wanted to share a few ideas and I was on a mad search for lots more. I just started teaching 1st grade and I wanted to peek inside other classrooms to see what everyone else was doing. There were only a handful of blogs at the time, but after about a year, there were TONS more. So many infact that I just couldn’t keep up. Every blog I followed, every post I read, every idea I didn’t have to invent, helped me to become a better teacher…and it still does to this day. THANK YOU for taking the time to share your ideas with us…for being vulnerable…for sharing your funny stories…and for just being the teacher God destined you to be. YOU all inspire me daily and I wish I had more time to leave comments and tell you just how great you all are!
I thank God daily for the beautiful friendships He’s placed in my life through this blog. So very unexpected, but I couldn’t feel more grateful and blessed for/by each and every one. Such an amazing support system that I never would’ve found otherwise. I love when He works like that!
Most of all, I thank God for YOU. For your comments. For your sweet words. For your visits and your continued support…you make me smile on the daily! Thank you!!!!
I hope you all have a VERY blessed Thanksgiving!!!!
No, thank you!
ReplyDeleteAh--you are too sweet. Your words are my thoughts exactly. I have learned so much from the blogging. Although I've never met any of you in person, I value you!
ReplyDeleteYou are wonderful! Thank you for all you share with us! Yours was the first blog I followed and you were the inspiration for me to start my own blog...so thank you! Have a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteOh no, the big thanks is to you. You truly inspired me to be a better teacher this year. I kid you not. I found your blog at the end of last year, and it refreshed me in so many ways. I am super happy this year, thanks in part to you. Keep being amazing, and happy thanksgiving from a Canadian fan.

Thank YOU because yours was the first blog I found last year during my first year of teaching first grade! You started my blog obsession haha! Thank you and everyone else for the inspiration to help me be a better teacher each and every day! My littles definitely appreciate all of the games and activities!
ReplyDeleteOh by the way, I had just read your Even Steven and Odd Todd post before teaching math the other day. The lesson was on doubles plus one and I very briefly mentioned how the monkeys (on our math page) filled their buckets to be Even Steven to show a doubles problem. But then sneaky monkey Odd Todd snuck another apple into his bucket! Well wouldn't you know, every lesson after that they have been talking about Even Steven and Odd Todd! I barely even talked about that but that is what they focused on! hahaha So I printed out your freebie and we are going to do it next week. Thanks again and I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving Cara!!! You were one of the first blogs I started reading too and you have always been an incredible inspiration. Happy Thanksgiving! :) :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!! You are an inspiration to many and your faith in God is one of the things I admire most about you! You touch so many lives through your blog and many of us are just learning how to blog. It's great having you and so many others to help guide us and inspire us. I've been teaching forever and wish so much this would have been available when I first started. I'm thankful my daughter will have this support network as she starts her teaching career. Thank you so much!! Have a blessed time with your family!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving sweet Cara! I really don't think you realize the huge impact you have on everyone and the thousands of BIG hearts and little hearts you touch daily. You are a hero to me. I shared a poem on my blog last night that I would love for you to come and read because it is exactly what you are...an Everyday Hero. Come listen to the Ray Boltz song I shared because it reminds me of you. "Thank you for giving to the Lord because I am a life that was changed."
ReplyDeleteThank you for being such a blessing and inspiration to me. I hope one day to meet you. =)
