A Quick Share

Alright ladies…and gentlemen {are you out there?!?!}…I’m gonna share a little something real quick because this little momma isn’t feelin’ so hot.  BOO.  Sore throat…chills…and a bit of a throbbing headache.  Don’t ask me why I’m on the computer.

My kids have been hard at work this week.  They definitely have spring fever, but they’ve been working SO hard!  PTL!  We made these cute little Compound Cooks this week.  They crack me RIGHT.UP.

I had the kids make little cookies.  Each cookie was labeled with a compound word of their choice.  Then we put them on a baking sheet & put them in the oven :)  Actually, we put them on a baking sheet & I sprinkled my teacher magic on them.  Once they were ready, the cookies went back on a paper plate and into the hands of the little chefs.  Little cookie compound words!  We were cookin’ up some serious compound word practice this week!  We finished off the lesson enjoying our very own chocolate chip cookies…Mmmmmmm :)

I finally posted this…

And it’s up for grabs in my little shop.  Now I’m going to bed.  Yes…B-E-D.  A bottle of Mucinex and Advil sounds so amazing right now.  TGI{almost}F!!!!

  7. Adorable! Hope you feel better soon! I don't know if it is the same where you live, but the allergies around here are A.W.F.U.L. this year because of our mild winter (PA).... my eyes actually hurt more closed, because that's when I realize how much they are itchy and burning (and of course all the other side effects of allergies are out of control...) :(

    1. Hi Cara!
First of all, thank you for sharing your amazing ideas and resources to teachers all over the world! I am a 2nd year inner city teacher who made a career change from event planning into teaching so your ideas have literally helped saved my sanity :) Of course I wonder how you do it all and remain sane because right now I still feel like it is hard to balance teaching and my marriage. I was wondering if you could share vague demographics of your school.. I am curious if you teach at a suburban, rural, urban, etc school.

  17. Love, love, love!!!! This will be on my wish list for next year!
