Hey sweet friends!!! HAPPY EASTER!!!!!! What a beautiful, stormy day{here in Texas} to celebrate our Savior!
Y’all…straight up…we serve an AWESOME GOD!
I’m currently reading this book & I HIGHLY recommend it!!
My oldest little has been OBSESSED with this sweet Bible…
To hear him retell the story of Jesus is TOO much!! Melt.my.HEART!!!!
I’ve had a few comments and lots of emails from some of you that wanna know where I got this cute birthday shirt for my little itty…
Well, just incase anyone else wants to know, I thought I’d post it here. I got it from the most darling little Etsy shop…FLY DUDS! Super cute, super inexpensive. My kinda shop!! HA!!!
I also got this darling shirt for big brother to match…{My little brother Grant ROCKS!} LOVE!
The owner was a doll and so great to work with!! I ordered these shirts at the last minute and she got them to with a crazy quickness…just in time for the big day {with a day to spare!}
It was a bittersweet weekend for me. I had to say goodbye to a companion I’ve had for the last 7 years…
My sweet little Liberty {aka: Libby Lou}.
I’ve loved her like crazy. She’s been paid off for almost a year. I would’ve driven her A LOT longer if Mr. Spouse didn’t want me to get something new. She was the BEST car EVER. NO complaints {except for the seats…the interior seat material was the WORST!!!}. We were dead set on staying with Jeep. Randomly, I get to test drive lots of different cars {for about a week at a time} and write reviews on them. I’ve had several different Mazdas, a Kia, and a Subaru. Y’all, I was impressed as heck with the Kia. Totally squashed all my former impressions of Kias and what they had to offer. Anywho, because gas is such a dang beating, Jeep was off the table pretty quick {the Commander has TERRIBLE gas mileage!!} We knew we wanted a third row and we narrowed down our choices down to the Mazda CX9 & the Kia Sorento. I LOVED the Mazda {as I have with all the Mazdas I’ve driven}, but y’all…that dang Kia Sorento was just perfect!!! It stole my heart from the minute I sat in it and I never looked back! We drove it off the lot with a whopping 5 miles on it! Take a look at the newest member of our little family.
Meet Pearl…
She’s cute, right?! We’ve already become best friends and my boys just LOVE her! She even talks to me!! And I can stream my Pandora stations {on my iphone} through her speakers!! Can you tell I’m a little excited?!
We have a BUSY week ahead of us for sure…3rd-6th TAKS test {state testing}…field trip to the zoo…and LOTS more!! We’re finally on the downhill slope to the end of the year! CRAZY!!!! Where’d the time go?!?!?!
Hope y’all had a blessed Easter!!!!
We name our cars too. I drive Vanessa (which is a Toyota Avalon, kind of prissy but not over the top). HA HA. Love the beginning of your post! That is my favorite scripture. Your boys are so cute, makes me wish mine were still little! Thanks for all your ideas! I appreciate you. I have to give TAKS On Tuesday - YUK! Good luck at your school!

Very cute shirts! :D
ReplyDeleteOMG! I totally sold my car this weekend too! I had a Sally.. She was a gray Mustang. Anyhow.. a young lad came along and bought her. Was his mom's idea (I didn't have it for sale). I had been outgrowing her though. She was more of a college gal car and with all I pack to school and home from school she just wasn't pratical anymore. So I let her go. I'm more sad about it than I would have thought. I went all day Saturday searching for something else and came home empty handed. Everything is super high! I like your choice.. looks pretty! I enjoyed reading your post. It hit home! ha
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

Love the new car, and those shirts are adorable (so are the little boys wearing them!) :) Hang in there for TAKS - I'm trying to survive it too!
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny. My silver Jeep Liberty is Kitty. I was even going to have my license plate made for her, but my daughters insisted I didn't. Oh..my daughter's name is Vanessa!!!

ReplyDeleteMy new car is named Pearl, too. haha Speaking of the Kias, one of my teacher friends was in a horrific car accident in her Kia. Even worse, she was 6 wks pregnant at the time. A stinking DRUNK driver hit her at a fast clip. Her Kia rolled several times on a country back road. She walked, well hobbled, away. The front end was SMASHED! However, the cab part was perfectly in tact, barely dented. So, needless to say she is a BIG fan of Kias. By the way, the baby was fine. He arrived right on time and is perfect as perfect can be. :)
ReplyDeleteLove everything about this post. So happy for you and your new ride! I'll have to check out that book. Hope you had a blessed Easter. Michelle (Fabulous in First)
ReplyDeleteI am just lovin' this blog! I so appreciate the wonderful Easter post about our great Savior! I absolutley love all of your ideas.
ReplyDeletep.s. your family is adorable.
thanks a bunch!
I am so glad to see this post. I'm trying to decide on what kind of car to get and I was also seriously thinking of a Kia Sorento...but my friend keeps saying, "you don't want an economy car." Economy car? What on earth??? There is no way I'm spending $43,000 on a car just because it has an L on the hood and the title of Lexus. I've looked at them on line several times and peeked in the windows when the dealership was closed and I love the interior and I think the KIAS are so cute. I've never driven one but I LOVE the look. Now I am so excited to drive one! My plan was to start seriously looking next month when school is out! YAY!! For KIA. I will let you know what color I end up getting. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a jeep liberty too! We call it the lunchbox, since it is just so cute and compact for a jeep! I know how it would of been to let go of her! I am not looking forward to the day I will have to say goodbye :(, but your new car is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI just realized how many typos I had in my previous post! ha SORRY! But I got me a new ride last night! I am super excited about it. I named her Daisy. She is a white Jeep Grand Cherokee Landover. I hope you are enjoying your new ride and having a great week! :)
ReplyDeletelove this post!! I lovvvve that pearl color on cars, I beg my husband for it but he doesn't hear me. =)

Awe! I have a black Liberty that will be paid off this year. I am going to keep her though...I only live 2 miles from work!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your new car.

Pearl is so adorable! May I give a wild guess why’d you named her Pearl? It’s because of her color, right? If I were the owner of this car, I’d surely do everything to take care of it and not let it get scratched at all! Always drive safely!
