Numerical Magic

I just heard this on the radio and thought it was really neat.  Of course, I’m sure I’m the LAST person to have heard this useless trivia, but what the hay…

There are 4 dates this year that all share the same numbers…

1/1/11….1/11/1111/1/1111/11/11

Well, did you know that if you take the last two digits of your birth year & add them to the age you’re turning this year, you’ll get 111?!?!  Is that numerical magic or what?!  Try it for yourself and see!!!

My birth year is 79 {whoa} and I’m turning 32.  79 + 32 = 111

I tried this with my boy’s birthdates, too…

Landon…07 + 4 = 11    and     Grant…09 + 2 = 11

I can’t wait to share this with my firsties on Monday!!!

**In other news, didn’t 30 used to sound “old” to you when you were younger?!?! HA!  I’m thinkin’ 30 is the new 20 ;)  And I hear 40 is even better!!!***

  1. The better question is WHAT ARE WE DOING BLOGGING AT MIDNIGHT ON FRIDAY?! HA!

    I'm awake...lesson planning...and blogstalking.

Shouldn't have had that Diet Coke around 10!

  3. And then, there is me, who is up at 6 am with my Landon because 6 to him is sleeping in. I was born in 79 too and will be 32, so I didn't even have to do the math this early in the morning. Thanks Cara!

  4. Oh boy... You girls were born the year I graduated from high school!!! But you know what? Getting old is more mental attitude than anything else. I still feel I'm 23 and working with firsties keeps you young!
And you girls keep me young! Thanks for all your ideas. They are terrific and fun. What a breath of fresh air it is to read your blog and to be able to benefit from your great ideas! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
PS- enjoy every minute with your "little men". Before you know it they'll be 6'5" and going out on dates and off to football camp like mine is. (we still cuddle up together to talk...he will ALWAYS be my baby) ;)

  7. Like you ~ my guys were little when I was in my 30's, everything you really do is for them, now they're older and you have a little more time for fun mommy stuff, so me and my friends always say, 40 is the new 20 :) So far so good for this decade. And since 11 is my FAVORITE number I think that's the coolest thing! Have a great weekend!
